I have a couple of questions about water that I would like people's views on: 1) Can you drink rain water which has run off a galvanised (zinc plated), corrugated roof? 2) How long will tap water stay safe if kept in a light proof, food grade, plastic container? I got a bit lost at the bit about the flies. Are you saying that you should put a fine mesh across the top of the vent pipe in order to trap flies in the pipe & toilet? I can't see why you would want that.

Hi Stan, Thank you for your kind words. Aye, the cost needs to be watched. I was in a hurry and bought windows & door which are very expensive. Definitely a good idea to start collecting windows & salvage timber before your build if you have space. Your hut looks great, just what a hut shoul...
