Hello from Dumfries & Galloway

I've been following the Reforesting Scotland pages for the past couple of years and finally got around to introducing myself here. My grandparents were hutters and campervanners,so maybe that's where my interest originates but, to date, I have never stayed in a hut nor even seen one, other than photos. I have, however, been in a tiny house and looked into the possibility of buying one of those. But tiny houses, great as they are, aren't huts and don't fit the purpose here.

I now have 5 hectares of land to reforest as native working woodland and foodland. I reckon there is sufficient space for a couple of huts, so I would love to hear from anyone within reasonable travelling distance of DG8 who may be interested in joining us to help develop the land from exposed clearfell to native working woodland with associated fruit, veg and herb growing.

That is my story to date. Apologies if it reads like some sort of recruitment ad but it has been 5 years of slow slogging to get this far and, so far, we have met nobody else interested in being part of something like this. (Also got ponies, so getting away anywnere to socialise with likeminded others is next to impossible.)
